Self Assessment Questions
Now that you have engaged with lots of information about Big Education and the BLA, please take a few minutes to reflect on the self-assessment questions below.
These have been designed to help you to think about whether the programme is right for you!
- Do you share Big Education’s belief that our young people deserve a more expansive education, an education of the head (academics), heart (character and wellbeing), hand (creativity and problem solving)?
- Do you feel excited by the idea of pushing the boundaries in education?
- Do you believe that leadership plays a vital role in creating a paradigm shift in our current education system?
- Are you eager to become an active member of the Big Education community; collaborating with a diverse group of changemakers, exploring ideas together, trying out new practices and supporting each other?
- Do you like the idea of being part of a programme that doesn’t give you all of the answers and solutions to your problems, but instead provides you with toolkits and frameworks to help you navigate next steps within your own context?
- Are you open to increasing your reflective capability, and ready to welcome feedback from your peers to help you understand your own behaviours and the impact they have on others?
- Do you want to learn how to develop an empowering, developmental and challenging culture in your own working environment?
- Do you agree that working collectively with other schools and organisations is the best way to make steps towards a more holistic and equitable education system?
- To what extent do you want to be a part of this growing movement?
- How willing are you to protect time for the programme and prioritise your learning and development?
- Do you feel your organisation (if relevant) are willing to support you on this endeavour?
